Mountainville Academy believes a dress standard is a necessary element in promoting a healthy learning environment, including equality, citizenship and school pride. All students attending Mountainville Academy will be required to adhere to a uniform-style dress code and abide by the standards of the Mountainville Academy Uniform Dress Code Policy.

School Year 2010-2011 Uniform Dress Code Policy (updated 8/11/2010)

MOUNTAINVILLE ACADEMY DRESS CODE PURCHASING INFORMATION

In order to ensure compliance with the Mountainville Academy Uniform Dress Code Policy, parents and students should carefully review all uniform dress code guidelines contained within the current year’s dress code policy.

School uniforms are available for purchase through many different stores and vendors.  However, please note that not all advertised “school uniforms” comply with the MA Uniform Dress Code Policy.  Regardless of where purchased, all dress code clothing must match the colors, fabrics, styles, and regulations described throughout the policy.

Some vendors which sell uniforms include, but are not limited to:

Dennis Uniform** (Salt Lake City)
Custom School Uniforms/Thorson Embroidery, Inc** (Lehi)
Classy Uniforms** (Pleasant Grove)
French Toast**
Old Navy
Gap

Land’s End**
Target
Ibiley

The Children's Place

Burlington Coat Factory
Kids R Us
JC Penney, Sears
Amazon.com
Wal-Mart

The school has only one approved plaid pattern; however, this plaid is known as both “Marymount” and “8B.”  The plaid is available for purchase under the Marymount name at Dennis Uniform.  The plaid is available for purchase under the 8B name at Custom School Uniforms and Classy Uniforms.

The school approved cardinal color is available for purchase at Dennis Uniform, Custom School Uniforms, and Classy Uniforms.  Please note that approved cardinal items are identified by specific manufacturer garment labels.  School approved cardinal color polos must contain the Dennis Uniform or the A+ garment label; school approved cardinal color sweaters and sweater vests must contain the Dennis Uniform, A+, or the Blueberry garment label.

The school’s official embroidered logo is available through Custom School Uniforms/Thorson Embroidery, Inc.  Previously purchased items from any vendor may have the embroidered school logo added for a small fee.  Or, a wide variety of uniform items is available for purchase with the embroidered logo already on them.

School sweatshirts with approved appliqué lettering are available through Custom School Uniforms/Thorson Embroidery, Inc.  School sweatshirts may also be worn with the official embroidered school logo.

The navy embroidered lion logo for middle school P.E. uniforms is available through Custom School Uniforms/Thorson Embroidery, Inc.  For convenience, P.E. uniforms are available for purchase through Custom School Uniforms, either with or without the embroidered lion logo.

**Some vendors donate a portion of their sales proceeds back to Mountainville Academy as a contribution to the school.  To participate in these programs and help our school, when making dress code purchases please use the following Mountainville Academy school codes:
