Cory Sullivan

P.E. & Health Teacher

I was born here in Utah (SLC) but grew up most of my life in St. Cloud, FL. I have been working with youth in various settings (summer camps, after school programs, youth sport leagues, high school sports, teaching, etc.) since 2001 when I got my first job as a summer camp counselor. I find a lot of fulfillment from the work I do with youth. I love being a part of their journey of discovery, growth, and accomplishment.

I started at Mountainville Academy in 2017 and I absolutely love it here. I very much enjoy the small intimate environment here at Mountainville. Prior to being at Mountainville I was at a public junior high where the norm was to have upwards of 60 students in one class period (sometimes more). With class sizes that large it was challenging to do much of anything, and it was almost impossible to form any type of productive relationship with the students. Here at Mountainville everyone knows everyone, you have students in multiple classes, and even if they aren't in your class you see them all the time. All those things, I think, are huge advantages and improve the learning environment and over all school experience.
