My name is Emily Ward I have 8 children ages 7-20, six boys and two girls. Two of my boys have graduated. One is going to school at BYUI in Rexburg the other one is working full time. I also have a junior he is also working coaching parkour. My five younger kids attend school here at Mountainville. I was born in Utah, but my family moved 16 times until my parents finally settled in a small town called Ramah in New Mexico. I was in the 7th grade and I graduated from Ramah High which goes from 7-12 grade with a student body of 200 kids. Ramah is located in the middle of the Navajo and Zuni reservation. I have a great love for Native American culture. After Graduation I attended Snow College I studied fitness, dance, art, and photography. After I got married I then attended cosmetology school in Provo and got my hair license. My husband and I then moved to Gallup New Mexico where I coached Jazz, tap, ballett, kickboxing, and cheerleading for Gallup Performing Arts Center. Three years later we moved to Houston Texas for my husband's job. In Texas I started a cheerleading company called "Go Cheer" where I coached 75 cheerleaders. We entered a national competition hosted in Houston and we took first place in our division. Ten years later we moved back to Utah. The last 2 years I worked at Gymcats Gymnastics as a USAG certified gymnastics instructor. At Gymcats I coached every age from team to the Mom and me baby classes. This year I took a job at Mountainville because the hours are so much better, people are so nice, and it's really fun being on campus with my kids. I really love coaching I'm excited to be coaching at Mountainville elementary where I hope to use all my prior experience to make a really fun and educational class. I hope to give kids a taste of many different kinds of fitness. My other interests include; painting, photography, and psychology. I am also currently a student at BYUI online finishing my degree in business management. I hope one day to open my own gym or something related to fitness and performance.
