6th Grade Math

I was born and raised in the fabulous state of Texas. I moved to Utah when I started attending Brigham Young University in Provo. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Animation. After receiving my degree I moved back home to Texas where I started my first teaching job as a Digital Media Teacher at a high school. I loved the experience of working with my 9th – 12th grade students and it reinforced the reasons I became a teacher: to teach my students to see the world in new and creative ways and to inspire students to become lifelong learners.

At the end of my first year of teaching I got engaged to the love of my life and was once again whisked back to the beautiful state of Utah. It was while I was working on my Utah certification that I was first introduced to Mountainville Academy. I am honored to have the opportunity to be a teacher at this school. Mountainville Academy has such a warm, and inviting atmosphere that encourages a growth mindset for both it’s students and it’s staff. I feel so supported as an educator and feel like I have access to the tools needed to be the very best teacher I can be. After spending six years at Mountainville Academy teaching 4th grade, I'm now the 6th grade math teacher. I'm so excited to be teaching one of my favorite subjects and I look forward to working with each student and parent as we start this amazing adventure that is 6th grade!
