Biography

I grew up exploring the trails and canyons of Utah and consider myself a mountain girl through and through. Teaching in the shadow of these beautiful hills at Mountainville just seems like a natural fit and I'm so excited to be here! I believe in Mountainville's mission and have loved the great things the school has done for my own 4 children.

I've always enjoyed reading and writing. I love getting lost in a story! I spent the last 20 years expressing my passion for telling people's stories as a professional journalist. Because of my love for kids, in the last few years I've felt the pull towards teaching and have worked as an instructor at Mountainville while pursuing a teaching license. I'm so excited to start this new chapter in my life and not only share important stories with the students at Mountainville but help them appreciate and tell their own stories.
