Caroline Harris
2nd Grade Teacher
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”- Dr. Seuss. There is no place I would rather be than teaching 2nd grade at Mountainville Academy. There are so many adventures to be had in 2nd grade.
What I love most about teaching is the ability to help students grasp concepts they had once believed too difficult to attempt. It's that look on their face--newfound confidence in themselves and their abilities--that is so rewarding.
My classroom motto is, “I can do hard things.” I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University and am coming up on my 4th year of teaching 2nd grade. I also have experience teaching elementary art and music.
Outside of teaching my passions are photography, cooking, painting, hiking, traveling, and spending time with my family. I am a wife of 24 years and a mother to four children- 22, 20, 17, 15.
