Mountainville Academy Pedestrian & Carpool Guidelines
Safety First! Our carpool area can be busy, especially during drop-off and pick-up. Please follow staff directions, use designated crosswalks, and stay alert around moving vehicles.
Pedestrian Safety
- Coming from the south: Watch carefully for carpool staff and vehicles before crossing.
- Coming from the north: Use the rock path through the preschool pickup area.
- Crossing Main Street: Always use the designated crosswalk and follow crossing guard instructions.
- Never cross through the carpool exit area.
- Stay alert and watch for moving vehicles at all times.
Carpool Drop-Off & Pick-Up
Drop-off begins at 7:45 a.m.
During morning drop-off, students should go to Gym Club, the upstairs game rooms, or the library.
Please Remember:
- Follow all posted school signs and carpool staff directions.
- Enter and exit the parking lot only as directed.
- Right turns only when entering or exiting the school parking lot.
- Pull forward all the way to the designated drop-off area as directed by carpool staff. Do not stop early.
- Students may only enter or exit vehicles when you are at the designated curb.
- Do not park or pick up students from private property at nearby businesses or residences.
- Do not use your cell phone while in the carpool area. Keep your attention on the road and your surroundings.
- Watch carefully for students, pedestrians, crossing guards, and carpool staff.
- When possible, consider walking or bicycling to school to help reduce traffic congestion.
- When possible, arrive early or avoid peak carpool times to help reduce delays.
