Full Day Kindergarten
This is my first year at Mountainville Academy, and I am excited to be teaching kindergarten alongside such an amazing team!
I have worked with young children for more than 25 years through education and children’s library programs, including the last 15 years as a kindergarten and first-grade teacher aide. My love of books began at a young age, and my very first job was at the public library when I was 12 years old! I grew up in American Fork, but my mom is from Alpine, so this area holds many fond memories and family connections for me.
My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to come to school each day. I want my students to feel comfortable trying new things, learning from their mistakes, asking questions, and celebrating their successes. There is so much growth that happens during the kindergarten year, and one of my favorite things is watching children gain confidence and discover a love of learning.
I am married to an amazing husband, and together we have three adult children and a wonderful son-in-law who all live nearby and visit often. Our family enjoys playing games, taking trips, and watching movies together. In my free time, I enjoy shopping, reading, watching Hallmark movies, and spending time with friends and family.
