Biography

I'm so excited to be part of the Mountainville Academy team, working with students to help them build confidence and strength in reading! The amazing students, parents, and staff make this such a wonderful community.

Teaching has been my lifelong dream. After graduating from Brigham Young University in Elementary Education, I taught 2nd grade in Pleasant Grove before moving to Colorado, where my husband and I raised our four children over 21 years. During my time there, I continued helping students succeed through tutoring, being a teacher's aide, and substitute teaching before our family returned to Utah.

To sharpen the saw, I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling, gardening, attending theater performances, and being outdoors in nature. Above all, I love spending time with my family—especially our 10 sweet grandchildren!

I can't wait to help foster a love of reading in my students this year. It's going to be a fantastic school year!
