6th Grade STEM
I am so excited to teach 6th STEM here at Mountainville Academy! Ever since I can remember, I have loved going outside on adventures and learning about the world. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to grow up in Canada, Australia, Hawaii, Hong Kong, and Utah. I remember being run over by an ostrich in Sydney, falling unexpectedly on top of a stingray in Hawaii, and feeling the thick, soft, fur of a sedated black bear during our mammalogy field trip to the Book Cliffs in Eastern Utah.
I actually began my career working in the medical field as an RN. But I found my true passion in teaching and so graduated from BYU with a degree in secondary science education. I taught at American Fork Junior High for a few years, stayed home to raise five children, all of which attended MVA, and then in 2010 began teaching here at Mountainville Academy. Currently, my favorite things include 3D printing, all things STEM, reconnecting with old students and learning with new ones!
